BIBLE NUGGETS 0214/2010 [COLOSSIANS 2:1 KJV]
CONFLICT [ I ]
Colossians 2:1 KJV
1For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
Colossians 2:1 , Amplified Version
1FOR I want you to know how great is my solicitude for you [how severe an inward struggle I am engaged in for you] and for those [believers] at Laodicea, and for all who [like yourselves] have never seen my face and known me personally.
The Apostle Paul was in constant struggle in prayer for the Saints at Colossae and Laodicea. He wanted the good of the brethren and he was ready to suffer the consequences for his faith. Conflict in Greek is “agon” and it implies a contest or an effort or anxiety or contention. You have something to struggle for; to wrest from the enemy all your stolen goods and properties whoever the enemy may be, whatever face they carry and no matter their tactics. You will surely laugh last. So, keep at it and God will give you the victory in Jesus Name.
WARFARE PRAYER
1. Oh Lord, grant me the inner strength to keep going even in the midst of great opposition mustered from the pit of hell in the name of Jesus.
2. Every power opposing my faith and the welfare of the brethren, receive the stones of fire in Jesus Name.
