The Righteous shall not be Moved

 Bible Nugget 0210 [Psalm 15 v 1-5 KJV]

1Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

 2He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

 3He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

 4In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

 5He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

As Paul told the Corinthian Christians;

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.” [2 Corinthians 13: 5],

Every Christian needs to take a snapshot of his life and verify he is walking in lockstep with the LORD. Ask yourself.   “Am I ready to stand before the judgment seat of Christ” at this moment. Just as Paul asked the Corinthians, the Psalmist throws the question to a wider audience, in fact to everyone under the sun; “who is qualified to stand in God’s sight in His tabernacle.”  His answer includes character traits such as uprightness, righteousness, truthfulness, non-backbiting or slandering, loving his neighbour, regards those that fear the Lord, and does not take bribe or take advantage of other’s finances. The Psalmist spoke these words as He was moved by the Holy Spirit and the revelation of God available in His time. Asked by Teachers of the law, Jesus summarized all commandments in the Old Testament to loving God fervently and equally loving your neighbour as yourself. [Matthew 22: 36-40].

36Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

 38This is the first and great commandment.

 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The gospel of Jesus is simpler, and appear foolish to some but therein is the power of God. Embrace it and you will see how much easier it is to serve God.

Prayer Nugget 0210

To the unsaved pray as follows: Lord I accept that all my righteousness is as filthy rag before you.  I ask for cleansing of my sins by the blood of Jesus, in Jesus Name.

If you are saved, declare as follows:

Lord I come to you just as I am without a plea of my righteousness but washed in the blood of Jesus. I dwell in your tabernacle as a place of refuge and gather strength for every spiritual battle. Fill my heart with the glories of heaven. I stand in awe of you and worship you in the beauty of your holiness continually all the days of my life in Jesus name. Lord help me so that your righteousness will be my righteousness. Let your fear be engrafted in my heart. Lord let me be a man of my words and stand to defend the truth at all times. Give me a caring heart and one that loves to help others and not to take advantage of them in Jesus name. Amen.

I am God’s Workmanship in Christ Jesus

Bible Nugget 0209 [Eph 2 v10-18 KJV]

  10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

 11Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

 12That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

 13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

 14For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

 15Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

 16And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

 17And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

 18For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

God is the greatest craftsman. He created the world and all that is in it in six days and on the seventh day he rested. Everything God created was very good and received divine approval. Man was the last creation. In Gen 1:26, during a council meeting of the Godhead [God the Father, God the Son or The Word and God the Holy Ghost] it was agreed man should be made in the image of God. The created man, therefore, epitomized God’s creation. Every other creation was spoken into existence; man was made or crafted in the image and likeness of God. In other words, man resembles God. Read the fall of man for yourself in Genesis chapter 3. Man fell from his first estate, the Garden of Eden and became subject to the law of sin and death. The Word became flesh and dwelt on earth amongst men and we beheld His Glory full of grace and truth. Jesus lived a life on earth without sin; died for our sins and rose again for our justification and is now seated at the right hand of God in Power and Glory. God is re-crafting every believer saved by the blood of Jesus, to become like Jesus; hallelujah.  The work is already completed by Jesus, and every believer has to work out his salvation to become fully like Jesus. No matter how far away you are from God you can experience this transformation and begin a new walk with God through the blood of Jesus. On the cross, before Jesus took his last breath he said “it is finished”. He has paid the price for your salvation with his own blood, for every man, every race, every tribe whether Jew, Greek or Gentile. All are made nigh to God by his blood. Make peace with God if you have not done so already.

Prayer Nugget 0209

Father Lord I make peace with you today. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again from the dead. I thank you for re-crafting me in the image of Christ Himself. Thank you for making me a member of your household and not making me an alien to your blessings and promises. Thank you for your abiding peace. Thank you for my full reconciliation to you through the blood of Jesus and breaking down every wall restraining me from other believers of every tongue, tribe or race.  Come Holy Spirit and take possession of every area of my life in Jesus Name. Amen.

Hear from God and Grow

Bible Nugget 0208 [Gen 32 v 28, v30]

28And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

30And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

Hearing from God is better as a firsthand experience and not a second hand experience. By firsthand experience I mean hearing from God yourself. By second hand experience, I mean hearing from God through another person, e.g. a pastor, prophet, etc. When you begin to hear from God you begin to grow. All Christian can and should hear the voice of God. If you do not hear from God your spiritual life will be stunted. There is no way you will not remember something happened to you after meeting the Almighty. Jacob had this experience and his life was changed forever. Before this experience, he was known as a deceiver, his days were full of evil and these early years experience shortened his lifespan compared to his grandfather Abraham and his father Isaac [Gen 47:9]. Twenty years earlier in Gen 28, running from his brother Esau whom he had deceived for the birthright, he slept and put his head on a rock. He saw in a dream, angels ascending and descending from heaven he saw the LORD and God reassured him of the Abrahamic covenant. He lived a hard life with his uncle in Haran. But for the children whom God blessed him with in Haran, he did not have anything to show for his sojourn in Haran.  In this second encounter with the Almighty, he fought with the angel until the breaking of dawn, and when the angel saw the importunity of Jacob, he touched the hollow of Jacob’s thigh, dislocated the joint which made him to limp for the rest of his life.  He prevailed as a prince with God and man.  Hearing from God is a right of every Christian saved by the blood of Jesus. It is not for spiritual giants alone. Jesus said;

“my sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me.” John 10:27. Also, read John 10:4-6

God wants us to communication with him no matter how you think you are busy or you draw up a schedule that completely, choke your time that so that you have no room for daily fellowship with God. This is the sin in the developed world when you have to crowd your time with work or work-related schedule and no time for God. If you are not born again, ask Jesus into your life. If you are a christian, pray with me as follows:

Prayer Nugget 0208

Oh Lord, strengthen me in your school of prayer. Open my ears to hear from you. I shall not be dull of hearing. Let your Holy Spirit guide me into all truth. I will hear your voice and follow you. The devils voice I will not obey. Teach me to discern between good and evil always. Help me to prevail in prayer and wait solely on you until you bless me. I shall not have feeble knees in prayer. Lord, help me control my schedule with sufficient time for fellowship with you in Jesus Name. Amen.

Repentance then Revival

 Bible Nugget 0207 [Hosea 6 v1-3 NKJV]

1 Come, and let us return to the LORD;
      For He has torn, but He will heal us;
      He has stricken, but He will bind us up.
       2 After two days He will revive us;
      On the third day He will raise us up,
      That we may live in His sight.
       3 Let us know,
      Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD.
      His going forth is established as the morning;
      He will come to us like the rain,
      Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

The Holy Spirit is on earth today convicting men of sin, righteousness and judgment.  God will accept any man or woman who genuinely repents. You first have to see yourself as unworthy because God is a Holy God whose eyes will not behold iniquity.  In Isaiah 6: 1-8, the prophet before his calling sought the face of God in prayer and had an open vision of God in Heaven in His Holiness and majesty. Isaiah saw himself in his depravity.  Isaiah 6:5

5Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

After this experience Isaiah was not the same person again. The Lord touched his tongue and then sent him to take His Word to the nations. He became a powerful prophet, and is classified by Bible scholars as one of the Major Prophets. In his first assignment to an unbelieving King Ahaz of Judah, confronted by war with the King of Syria and the King of Israel, God revealed through the prophet the virgin birth of Jesus which would occur some 18 generations after. Isaiah 7:14

14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Ahaz had refused to see the defeat of his enemies even before the war started. There is an abundance of rain of revival. Ask for it in your life and the heart of others in Jesus Name.

Prayer Nugget 0207

Lord I come to you with all my heart. I shall not follow my own ways or depart wickedly from my God. Lord, make my life whole again. Repair all the broken breaches of my life and send the fire of revival into my bones in Jesus Name. Oh Lord do not tarry to send your revival in abundance. Open my eyes to behold you in your Holiness and transform every area of my life until I am fully yielded to your will. Also, Lord let the heart of men yearn and thirst for your word in Jesus Name.  Let your glory cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. Open hitherto closed doors to the gospel and let your word mightily prevail.  Let revival take root in the nations of the earth in Jesus name. Amen.

Trust in the Lord

Bible Nugget 0206 [Jeremiah 17 v 5-8 NKJV]

5 Thus says the LORD:

      “Cursed is the man who trusts in man
      And makes flesh his strength,
      Whose heart departs from the LORD.
       6 For he shall be like a shrub in the desert,
      And shall not see when good comes,
      But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness,
      In a salt land which is not inhabited.
       7 “ Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
      And whose hope is the LORD.
       8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
      Which spreads out its roots by the river,
      And will not fear when heat comes;
      But its leaf will be green,
      And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
      Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

The Word of God is Yea and Amen.  The curses upon the evil person and the blessings upon the righteous described in the above verses are similar in context to that described in Psalm 1: 1-6, confirming the blessings of God upon our lives for obedience and curses for disobedience, for in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established [2 Corinthians 13:1]. The punishment of the sin of Judah is lamented by the wailing prophet, Jeremiah in the first four verses of Jeremiah Chapter 17. However, God being righteous, judges both Nations and individuals. He punishes collectively and individually. Likewise, he blesses collectively and individually. He told Abraham that Sodom and Gomorrah would not be destroyed if there were ten righteous people in the City [Gen 18:10-32].  Lot was the most righteous person in the City, and escaped with his two daughters because of the mercy of God, and God’s answer to the prayer of Abraham, Lot’s uncle [Gen 19: 12-29].  Pray for your nation, that God should show mercy and pray for yourself as follows:

Prayer Nugget 0206

Lord have mercy upon our land. Redeem the souls of those who put their trust in you. Lord, I pray for myself. Thank you for sending Jesus to redeem me from the curse of the law. I put my trust in you and not in any man or the arm of flesh. You are my hope and stay. I trust in your ability to watch over me and protect me from every evil. Open the eyes of my mind to behold the wondrous promises in your Word destined for my life. Plant my feet by your Rivers of Living water. Famine, destruction and wastage are not my portion in Jesus Name. Make my feet to have roots and cause me to stand solid on your Word not shaken or blown around by any evil wind and difficulties of life in Jesus Name.  Make my life evergreen and flourishing so I will be immune in the year of drought. I inherit all my divine blessings in Jesus Name. Amen.

Great Restoration

Bible Nugget 0205 [Joel 2 v23-27, NKJV]

23 Be glad then, you children of Zion,
      And rejoice in the LORD your God;
      For He has given you the former rain faithfully,
      And He will cause the rain to come down for you—
      The former rain,
      And the latter rain in the first month.
       24 The threshing floors shall be full of wheat,
      And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.
       25 “ So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,
      The crawling locust,
      The consuming locust,
      And the chewing locust,
      My great army which I sent among you.
       26 You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,
      And praise the name of the LORD your God,
      Who has dealt wondrously with you;
      And My people shall never be put to shame.
       27 Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel:
      I am the LORD your God
      And there is no other.
      My people shall never be put to shame.

God in His faithfulness, promised to restore all the wasted years in your life caused by the havoc of the enemy.  When you ask God for full restoration by faith in the name of Jesus, God will answer your prayers because it is His will that your joy be full [John 16:24, KJV]

24Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Claim the above promises and pray as follows:

Prayer Nugget 0205

Thank you Lord for creating in me a hunger for your righteousness.  Thank you because your shower of blessings shall burst forth upon my life and the years of wastage are gone forever in Jesus name. The floors of my life are wheat and the cellar of my heart shall overflow with the oil and wine of your spirit. I shall eat and be satisfied because of the favour the Lord has showed to me in Jesus Name. Thank you Lord for removing shame from my life. Amen.
