LORD LET MY PLANS RECEIVE YOUR DIVINE APPROVAL

Wisdom Fountain 0113 [Prov. 16: 1-3, Amplified]

1THE PLANS of the mind and orderly thinking belong to man, but from the Lord comes the [wise] answer of the tongue.

2All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits (the thoughts and intents of the heart).

 3Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.

Planning is key to success in any venture. Without a plan, a good purpose turns to disappointment. Planning often involves goals and objectives, consultation or counseling with experts, research, etc. Whatever the source, all these originate from the mind. The mind is like a mine which if properly cultivated will be a source to dig out all precious things. In this context, the writer of proverbs instructs us to commit our plans to the Lord to have success in our endeavours.  Let’s do this with prayers.

 

Prayer of Faith 0113

Lord, let my mind be a mine full of your word in Jesus Name. Let my thoughts be a stream having its source from your word and let my tongue be an outlet sanctified by your Spirit to issue out pure and holy words in Jesus Name. Cause my ways to be aligned with Jesus who is the way the truth and the life in Jesus Name. I commit all the works of my hands in to your able hands; let me be in your perfect will for my life in Jesus Name. Thank you Lord for establishing and granting me good success as I remain in you in Jesus Name. Amen.

GRACIOUS ORNAMENT

Wisdom Fountain 0112 [Proverbs 1 v 7-9, KJV]

7The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

 8My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

 9For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

An ornament enhances beauty. God wants to beautify our lives with his salvation. The beginning of this beauty is to fear the Lord. Not the fear of the world, but Godly fear, meaning reverence of the Almighty in every area of our lives. It means to hate sin and any appearance of evil. Noah was one of such. He saw the evil that had taken hold of the world in his time, moved with Godly fear, prepared an ark and was saved from the destruction and wrath God poured on the earth for the sinfulness of men and women that caused God to regret that he created man. [Gen 6:1-8]. To experience godly fear require diligent assimilation and obedience of the Word of God. Say the following prayer of commitment to the God as follows:

Oh Lord thank you for the Holy Spirit that dwells in my heart. Grant me divine knowledge so that I may fearfully reverence you all the days of my life. Instruct me with the wisdom that will cause me to excel spiritually, in my marital life, socially and in the works of my hands.  Let your Holy Spirit remind me of your word and precept in meditation, thought and obedience in Jesus Name. Place your ornament of grace over my neck and shoulder, and let your grace abound in my life as I heed your word and precept in Jesus Name. I shall be abundantly satisfied with your goodness in Jesus Name. Amen.

JESUS, THE PERFECT GIFT TO MANKIND

 

Bible Nugget 0106 [John 3: 16 – 21, KJV]

16For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

 20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

 21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Our God is a merciful and loving God. His desire is that everybody be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. When Adam and Eve fell in the Garden of Eden they lost fellowship with God and became alienated from God. They also became servants to a new master, the devil who put a mark of ownership on them; sin, death and eternal separation from God for the unrepentant.  God sent his Son into the world to reconcile mankind back to God.  He gave mankind the very best gift, His only begotten Son, full of the Grace of God. Rejecting the Son of God is an eternal death sentence one places on him or herself. Believing and accepting Jesus will usher you into God’s kingdom and you become a member of the family of God. Let him into your heart and darkness will have no hiding place. Why not accept Jesus today if you have not done so already. Make him the centre point of your life to which all other things revolve and enjoy the peace he gives.

 

Prayer of Faith 0106

 

Pray the following sinner’s prayer and become a member of the family of God.

 

 

Oh Lord, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I come without any plea of my righteousness. Cleanse me from all my sins with your precious blood.  I renounce and cut off every fellowship with darkness. Let your glorious light shine on me. Thank you Father LORD for my salvation is assured by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, your only begotten Son. Thank you LORD for making me to see the glorious light of the gospel. Shine you light perpetually on me in Jesus Name.

REDEEMING THE TIME
 
Bible Nugget 0105 [Romans 13 V 11 – 14; Psalm 90:12 (KJV)]

11And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

 12The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

 13Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

 14But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Time is one of the most valuable gifts given to man on earth by God. Christians will give an account of their time, how wisely they have used it in terms of holiness and way of life when we stand before thee judgment seat of Christ. The Psalmist says it consisely in Psalm 90 v 12.

 12So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

 Let us live lives pleasing to God and fulfill our spiritual obligation to His Kingdoms. Let your light shine.

 

Prayer of Faith 0105

Lord, help me to keep focused in my spiritual life. Revive my spirit man from all forms of slumber and keep me awake and alive in my service to you. I cast out of my life every affinity of lewdness and debauchery (wickedness, sin, depravity, corruption and dishonesty) in Jesus Name. Let my fellowship with you be sweet and help me to sow my time in the things of your kingdom in Jesus Name. Amen.

INNER CLEANSING
27 The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart. 30 Blows that hurt cleanse away evil, As do stripes the inner depths of the heart [Proverbs 20:27, 30 NKJV].

The light post in a dark night guides sailors towards the harbour to berth their ship safely against the tempest of the sea as huge waves, lined up, surge from many nautical miles in the ocean ready to slam them against the harbour. Your spirit is the light post God has put in you to guide you through this tempestuous world. Keep it awake and let it glow in you 365 days/120 years if the Lord tarries.

Prayer for Alertness

Pray this prayer so you spirit man will be quickened from spiritual slumber, and your heart will be a sanctuary of His holiness.

Lord I thank you for your Holy Spirit that you have freely given to me. I decree that my spirit man shall be alive and awake to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Search all the inward parts of my heart and purge away every thing that does not glorify you in Jesus name. Let mercy and truth fill my heart and lovingkindness be my attitude to those around me and those you have put under my care. Strengthen me in my inner man and grant me physical strength to tackle the challenges of daily living in Jesus name. Thank you for removing the pain for every blow I have received and teaching me to turn away from evil. Thank you for Jesus who was beaten with many stripes so the blows I receive will never consume me in Jesus name. Henceforth let no man trouble me for I bear on my body the marks of the Lord Jesus Christ (Gal 6:17) in Jesus name.  Amen.

COMPLETE IN CHRIST

Bible Nugget 0102 [Genesis 1:26; Colossians 2:9-10]

  

  9  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

 10  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

 

There is a resemblance between God and man. That resemblance, not necessarily in facial appearance, was fully expressed in the man, Christ.

Genesis 1:26 says ” And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”.

Notice that it was God who said it. It was God who planned that man should be in image.

However, Adam, the first man, sinned and fell short of God’s glory and image, through disobedience. God sent Jesus, His Son, who is part of the Godhead to restore the image of God in man.

By accepting Jesus into your heart, daily walking with him we become more like Jesus. As we fellowship with Jesus who has all the fullness of the Godhead, God will accept us  back as adopted sons bearing His image because He sees Christ in us.

 Prayer Points 0102

Pray this prayer of appreciation to God for creating you as a human being carrying a body, soul and spirit from the depth of your heart. Also thank him for sending Jesus into the world to die for your sins.

 “Lord I bless your Holy Name. I worship you in the beauty of your Holiness. I magnify you Father, Son and Holy Spirit for creating me in your image and likeness. Thank you for giving me the precious gift of your Holy Spirit. Thank you making me complete in Christ who is the fullness of the Godhead. You are my Father, I have the mind of Christ and you have given me the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. I will not allow sin to rob me of your glory in my life. I will attain unto the full measure of Christ in my life in Jesus Name. I stand in you complete and reject every accusation of the enemy in Jesus Name. I work out my salvation with Godly fear in Jesus Name. Amen.”
