CHRIST OUR PASSOVER LAMB [IV]

Living Bread Nugget 1201 [Mark 14:22-25; Exodus 12:1-14]

Jesus Established the Eternal New Covenant

Mark 14:22-25 22And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.  23And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.  24And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.  25Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God [also, Matthew 26:26-30].

Jesus did away with the Jewish Passover by giving himself up to God as a perfect lamb, a clean offering to God for meeting the conditions of atonement by our Holy heavenly Father. As Jesus partook of the Passover, he pronounced a new covenant that is a better sacrifice acceptable to God. Jesus explained to them the big event they were witnessing; unfermented wine representing the blood of the New Testament which replaces the Old Testament blood of clean bulls and goats, and the bread representing his body broken for us. Hence the bible says his body and blood is a better testament laid on better promises. Therein lies the way for salvation; the blood of Jesus superseded and replaced the Jewish Passover for the redemption of the soul of man and his body was broken so that we can be made whole and partake with him in heaven with a resurrected body, the marriage supper of the lamb. Jesus had a heavenly body of flesh and bones when he appeared to his disciples before his final ascent to heaven.

Luke 24:39-40 39Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.   40And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

Notice that the fruit of the vine will be the symbol of remembrance at the marriage supper of the lamb and no bread would be broken as was done before the crucifixion and as is symbolized during Holy Communion. However, the bread is our symbol now because Jesus’ body was broken (he underwent pain and agony) for us to restore our health. Bread is not symbolized then because he is not going to die the second time.  Moreover, there will be no more people to be rescued from the cures of sin imposed by Adam’s transgression. All that are rescued would have been rescued and all that have experienced the second death would have experienced death and eternal damnation to hell fire. Also, there will be no more curse, neither will there anymore be sickness as we would have eaten of the tree of life which gives everlasting life, renewing our health always in the new kingdom. Would you not want to be a part of this great assembly?

Rev 22:1-3 1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.  2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.  3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Prayer of Faith

1.  Lord let me be a partaker in the marriage supper of the Lamb. I want to drink the fruit of the vine with you in your eternal kingdom in Jesus Name.

2. Lord I receive wholeness for my body, soul and spirit as I have partaken in previous Holy Communion and I as partake in future with my family and with your saints in the mighty Name of Jesus.

WISDOM SERIES: WISDOM OF THE CROSS (IV)

[Bible Nuggets 1101 Rev 12:9]

9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The devil is still the Old serpent and its final destiny is Hell Fire

The serpent caused the total depravity of man. When Adam and Eve sinned, man took on the nature of the “serpent”, instead of the nature of God in which he was created because he agreed and sided with the devil in thought, word and action. The devil became his god. The devil came as an ‘angel of light’ to beguile [deceive, trick, entice, tempt, lure] man away from Jehovah God Almighty.

If you have already accepted Jesus and you are a Christian, you are innocent before God. You must strive to keep you garment white as snow. Plead the blood of Jesus on yourself daily; be washed in the blood of the lamb. Every crimson stain will be washed from your heart. Paul warning the Corinthian Christians said”.

2 Cor 11:3

3But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Hold unto your faith tenaciously. Do not trade it for a morsel of meal. The final destiny of the devil is hell fire.

Rev 20:2-3

2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Even now the Devil is already judged in the Believer’s Life

Judgment has already been passed on the devil, and as a child of God you have the honour and privilege from the Lord to execute this judgment perpetually on Satan. Claim the promise and see yourself in Christ as set on the throne of judgment over the devil (we are seated with Christ in heavenly places over principalities and powers), and command all his works in your life, over your family and every evil influence of his to be destroyed. Loose the judgment of God on his demons and all the powers of darkness. Rule over the enemy, his works and over all his allies with a rod of iron. This is your heritage in Christ.

John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Conclusion

How do you see Jesus? Do you regard him as your messiah? God made full provision for your salvation by sending His Son to die for your sins and mine. Do you regard or accept this as a solution to your reconciliation with your maker? The wisdom of God through the death of Christ is to them who are lost foolishness but unto us who are saved it is the power of God. God is wiser than you and me that is why he thought this as the way out to reconcile man who was created in His image back to Himself. Come to Jesus today and live. Do not die in your sins by allowing that old serpent the devil to lord and rule over you. Repent today and become a member of the family of God. If you saved you will rejoice in the scripture below because you know what those in the world do not know or have.

1 Corinthians 1:18

18For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Prayer Points

1.     I dethrone every power of the enemy over my life, my family and over every thing that concerns me in the mighty Name of Jesus.

2.     Satan, you are under my feet. Remain crushed under my feet. You will remain there perpetually until Jesus comes and you are hurled to hell fire in Jesus Name.

COMMANDED BLESSINGS III [MAKING IT AN UNENDING RAIN]

Bible & Prayer Nuggets 1014 [Deut 28:1, KJV]

1And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

Commanded Blessing Is Conditional and Comes By Obedience

It is important to state how commanded blessings come.  It comes by “hard walk” with God and works in tandem with hard work which the Lord commands everybody to do anyway. The spiritual “hard walk” one has to do to enter into this distinguishing and unending rest of blessings from God is obedience. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Our will to obey has to be totally submissive to God through His Holy Spirit. God pours out common blessings on all his creation. However, not all blessings are automatically poured out upon everybody, otherwise God would be like a robot. God’s blessings are conditional.  Most times, God demands something of a person before He blesses that person. A person has to do something in order to receive God’s blessings. Full obedience is the condition – fully, diligently obeying the Lord, carefully observing and following all His commandments.

Stay Focused

The blessings of God are conditional. Promise after promise is given to the believer, but the believer has to believe God to receive the promises. He has to stay focused upon God and His promises, keep his mind upon them. Only if he stays focused upon God will he obey God and receive the promises. Obedience is an absolute essential to receive the blessings of God. Think about this: if a person is not obeying God, he is not staying focused upon the blessings or promises given by God. Consequently, it is only a natural outcome that he will not receive the blessings of God. But if the person is obeying God, he is focused upon the promises of God’s blessings. Walking throughout the day, he is honoring God by staying focused upon Him and His blessings. Therefore, God is bound to bless him, for it is the honor, worship, and obedience of man that God wants. This is the very purpose for which God created man.  Again, the man who is obeying God stays focused upon God. Consequently, God blesses him, pours out blessing after blessing upon him. All because the man walks obediently before Him.  Are you ready to start this unending rain in your life today? Ask God to help you in every area you have failed him and areas you are powerless spiritually.

Prayer Points 1014

1.      Oh LORD, I submit my will to you. I yield to you in every area of unyieldedness, grant me the grace and vision to remain focused on your word in Jesus Name.

2.      I exercise my authority in Christ and command all my hidden blessings to rain down from heaven. Every blessing that is like dew, pour down as rain in Jesus Name.

3.      My heaven will not become as brass and iron. Every principality and power in heavenly places sitting on my blessings crash down and be consumed by the fire of the Living God in Jesus Name.

4.  Oh Lord, I will honour and obey you from the depth of my heart. Everything I am and everything I will ever be is because of you. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen.

ANNOINTED FOR SERVICE

Bible & Prayer Nuggets 1007 [Acts: 10:38, Amplified]

38 How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.

Jesus has deposited his powers in my life and every believer’s life to sweeten the lives of others and radiate his power by the Power of the Holy Spirit. On earth, Jesus said to his disciples, he will send the Holy Spirit and “each one of you will do greater works because I go back to my Father in heaven” [John 14:12, paraphrased]. This was literarily fulfilled in the life of Peter (his shadow healed the sick, Acts 5:15) and Paul (anointed handkerchief’s from him healed people, Acts 19:11-12) after the day of Pentecost. The power of the Holy Spirit transformed their lives, becoming clean vessels in the hand of God. A person’s life is like salt. It can sweeten or destroy.  My prayer is that the beauty of Jesus be seen in my life and yours and that we radiate the power of God in Jesus Name. Amen.

Prayer Lines 1007

Pray these prayers with all intensity in the inside of you:

1.     Oh Lord I separate myself unto you. I die to self. Anoint me and consecrate me with your strength and power in Jesus Name.

2.      Holy Spirit let your anointing perform Apostolic signs and wonders in my life and those around me in Jesus Name.

3.     Oh Lord, cause me to be triumphant in every area of my life and make my life fragrant for Christ everywhere in Jesus name.

TOO INCOMPREHENSIBLE

[Bible Nuggets 1001]

Eph 3: 17-21

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

The human mind is too small to conceive what God can do in all his power and abilities. Only faith in Christ who is the Word of God can bring you to the door of your divine opportunities and blessings. Think of His love for you and you find that it is really deep, high and wide. When you seek for his love, even PhD knowledge of it is not able to comprehend it. He gave you life; He is the Porter and you are the clay. He gives you food shelter and clothing, the basic human needs. He keeps you in divine health, even when your mortal body is weak or infirmed he heals you and makes you strong again. He saves and delivers you from those who are too strong for you to handle on your own. Give Him the Glory. Embrace Christ and you find that your life will not be the same again.

Song

There is a rhythm for the song below. Even if you do not know it, hum it and the Holy Spirit will saturate the love of God in your heart.

“Into my heart

Into my heart

Come into my heart

Lord Jesus

Come in today

Come in to stay

Come into my heart

Lord Jesus”.

Prayer Points

Please pray the above scriptures verse by verse with all seriousness and concentration. Start with the first two prayer points below.

1.     Oh Lord stay in my heart. Occupy all the rooms in my heart. Let your love find root in my heart and make me grounded in your love in Jesus Name.

2.     Lord, perform your wonders and miracles in my life. Let your blessings be outstanding and make my life a living testimony in the mighty Name of Jesus.

3.     Pray  Eph 3: 17

4.     Pray  Eph 3: 18

5.     Pray  Eph 3: 19

6.     Pray  Eph 3: 20

7.     Give God glory and praise and Pray  Eph 3: 17

Bible & Prayer Nugget 0606

Upward looking

Author: Esther Agbi

Bible Nugget 0606 [Colossians 3:2, KJV]

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2. Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth.

God wants us to be focused on things above. The question now arises. What are those things above? This same passage tells us Christ is above, making intersession for you and me. We also know that God is above. He is sitting on his throne and the earth is his foot stool. The angelic host and the 24 elders are worshiping the most high day in day out.

Some of the definitions of the word “set” are to adjust, lay or stand in a certain position, make or become permanent.

As we begin to worship God right here on earth, we are positioning our selves for eternity, which will become permanent in due time. The love of God wells up in us and we continue to increase in our heavenly treasures. No little wonder the scripture says where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Let us as Christians risen with him continue to love what God loves and despise what He hates. The Holy Spirit will help us to adjust our lives to please Him as our aspirations, hope and our mental disposition is upward looking.

In the same manner, when Jesus ascended into heaven, the disciples set their gaze towards heaven until the angels of God came to them and said, this same Jesus shall return in the same manner as you see him go.

I pray that the lord will not only allow us to be looking upward physically, but spiritually

also, until his coming in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer Points 0606

  1. Lord, any cataract preventing me, from seeing you clearly, blot out from my way by your power.
  2. Father, make my affections to be in line with yours, in Jesus name. Amen
