Text: Matt. 4:1-11                                                                    

INTRODUCTION

 There are 2 types of conscience in your body. Those are the good and bad conscience. The good conscience listens to God and the bad one listens to the devil. Imagine you are falling off a building. Something is holding you back and that is your good conscience. At the same time something is pushing you forward. That is your bad conscience. It is left there for you, but which one will you choose? It is a tough choice. Let this study give you some tips in Jesus’ name. Amen.

There are many things we usually take for granted. One of them is the ability to sleep and wake up. The Psalmist has made us to understand that it is not by any effort of ours that we go to bed and we are up the next morning. It is by the mercies of the Almighty God. Having a place to rest our heads is one thing, then, falling asleep is another. There are some people who do not have homes or houses they go to at the end of the day. Rest For Your Soul and Body

28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28, KJV

28Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls. Matthew 11:28, Amplified

We have a most revealing statement concerning the Sabbath. The Sabbath is a 7th-day completion cycle which God designed solely as a day of rest. No work was to be done and in Israel, neither animal were to be burdened. The Oxen, Donkeys and Servants were to be rested. The sole purpose was to be refreshed. Note that God detests all forms of laziness, which is a discussion for another day. He worked in 6 days creating the heaven and earth (Genesis chapter 1) and designed the human body to be refreshed by periods of rest. That is why after tedious months of work we must take out time for vacations. It is not only cultural but more importantly of immense spiritual benefit. God desires our souls prosper. Prosperity is not a once-for-all step into wealth be they material, financial or otherwise. True prosperity is steady progress in the spirit. Your soul is the covering for your spirit. Your soul is the first contact point by the spirit world. Celestial (angels) or terrestrial spirits (powers of darkness and demons) do not directly relate with your body as they are not physical beings, just like we relate with other humans on the surface, what we can see-our senses.
