2025 PROPHETIC WORD: GIVE ME THIS MOUNTAIN (JOSHUA 14:10-15b)

10 And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.

12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.

13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.

14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel………………15b And the land had rest from war.

2025 is a year the Lord will take you to new heights.

2025 is a year you will have mountain-top experiences with the Lord.

2025 is a year to defeat the giants and possess your possessions.

IF YOU BELIEVE ALL THESE PROMISES, AFFIRM EACH OF THEM WITH A RESOUNDING AMEN.

CROSS OVER NIGHT SERVICE                  10:00pm to 12:30am                             31/12/2024 – 01/01/2025

Praise Worship                      Text    Psalm 48:1-14;            Ephesians 1:1-23.

Matthew 17:1-9 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart, and was transfigured before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light. And behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with Him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, “It is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.” While He yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, ““his is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him.” And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said: arise, and don’t be afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

40 days PRAYER & FASTING – JANUARY 2 TO FEBRUARY 12, 2025

WEEK ONE 02/01/2025 -08/01/2025

Praise Worship          Text: Matthew 3:1-17; Acts 1:1-14; 9:1-28.

Philippians 3:7-16, “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;  that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.  Not that I have already attained or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the price of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.”

Revelations 4:1-2 1After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” 2Immediately I was in the Spirit and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.

PRAYERS FOR OPEN HEAVEN AND HEAVENLY VISIONS

  1. Lord, thank you for joining my life to Christ firmly. Thank you for helping me to overcome my selfish ways of pleasing myself. I gained Christ and sacrificed all my old ways joyfully (Phil. 3:1-8).
  2. I press towards the high calling of God. I submit myself to you completely (Phil. 3:7-14).
  3. Spark your life in me. Help me to forget things that are past and press on to things ahead.
  4. I win Christ. Shame to you satan. I have left your camp. Lose your grip on me by fire.
  5. Lead me to Christian maturity. Reveal to me things that hinder my growth (Phil. 3:15-16).
  6. Let the cross be my boast and nothing else. I am triumphant in all things in Christ.
  7. Holy Spirit, shake all dust from my life. Revive me afresh with your power (Acts 9:1-22).
  8. Father, let your glory shine on me and remove all scales from my eyes (Exod. 33:11-23).
  9. Prepare me as a vessel for your work. I will not hinder your call upon my life (Jer. 1:1-12).
  10. Open my eyes to see your glory. Let my fellowship with you be endless (Exod. 34:29-35).
  11. Cover me under your mighty wings. Help me to know your plan for my life (Isa 6:1-10).
  12. Make me grow in grace in your watchful eyes. Open my ears to your call (1 Sam. 3:1-21).
  13. Lord, open the heavens and show me marvelous things beyond human comprehension.
  14. I remain steadfast under trials. I hope to receive the crown of righteousness and the crown of life in heaven. Let my earthly journey be most memorable (2 Tim. 4:8; James 1:12).
  15. I am a new creation. I am a brand-new man destined for heaven to go reign with my Father.
  16. I gaze at heaven. I see the angels of God ascending and descending on a ladder ministering to me and bringing me blessings. I bind all forces of darkness (Gen. 28:10-22; John 1:51).
  17. Lord, I magnify you. You are majestic, glorious in holiness and fearful in praise, doing wonders. Yours is the Kingdom, power, and glory forever and ever. Hallelujah (Matt. 6:13).
  18. Open my eyes to see heavenly visions. Show me things that are happening in the spiritual realm and a glimpse of you seated majestically on your glorious throne (Rev. 4:1-2).
  19. Pray and worship Him in the Spirit for fifteen to twenty minutes. Journal what He tells you!

WEEK TWO 09/01/2025 -15/01/2025

Praise Worship                      Text: Deut. 6:1-25; Psalm 8:1-9; Rev. 1:1-20.

Psalm 19:14, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength, and my Redeemer.”

Revelations 12:11, Amplified And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.

YEARNING FOR THE WORD

  1. Sweet Jesus, as a newborn baby, I desire with great hunger and intensity, the sincere fresh milk of your word. Let it reach the fibre of my being and my bones, so I grow fat, nourished and healthy. I have tasted your goodness and graciousness, Lord. I depend wholly on you Lord for my life and protection. I lay aside and deaden all pollutants that spring up within me: all malice, evil vexation of spirits, righteous indignation, all deceit, hypocrisy, envying, evil speaking, and all lying (1 Peter 2:1-3; James 1:19-21) [Milk Dimension Prayer].
  2. Lord, you are the great precious stone, and I am a part of your Body, the Church. You are my King forever. Thank you for making me part of your royal army: a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and God’s special people. My mouth shall proclaim your praises always celebrating my transition from darkness to your light. Lord thank you for splashing me with your mercy and grace (Isaiah 51:1; 1 Peter 2:4-9).
  3. Lord, I enter your rest by your grace and favour. I walk with you in spiritual maturity by faith with diligence and obedience. I live without strife, malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envying, foolish jesting, selfishness, and pride.
  4. Oh God, let your fear be my rejoicing. I answered the call of WKU. I hate sin with perfect hatred and shun evil counsel (Prov. 1:8-33; Psalm 1:1-6).
  5. I exercise a high degree of discernment to differentiate between good and evil. I move from the state of mere survival as a believer to eating strong food and meat; feeding, fitly nourished, and joined to other believers, growing, and developing in the Body of Christ to the full gifting and potential in ministry gifts. I discern accurately amongst body, soul and spirit experiences pleasing the Lord (Heb. 5:12-14; Eph. 4:7-16) [Meat Dimension Prayer].
  6. Lord, as my utmost desire, let your word be honey to my soul. I appreciate both its warning and great reward. Let it produce limitless life in me whereby I am completely for Christ so I can say for me to live will be for Christ, and to die is gain.
  7. Sanctify me so your word is bitter to my belly, yet sweet in my mouth as honey and nourishing to my mind, soul, and spirit. Grant me the grace to walk in holiness without compromise living the life of heaven on earth. Grant me clear revelations, visions and raptures of heaven living in and out of body experience, worshipping you and fellowshipping with your holy angels. I long to see Jesus, not only in pictures and flashes but in reality. Let this hope keep burning in me.
  8. Let the Holy Spirit grant me a deep connection to your throne room so I will always long for your holy and glorious habitation, and dwell in constant fellowship with You. Help me to continually speak your work to many people, nations, tongues, and kings (Phil. 1:20-24; Psalm 19:7-11; 1 John 3:1-3; Rev. 10:8-11) [Honey Dimension Prayer].
  9. Lord, I receive your words and treasure your commands. I incline my ear to your wisdom, my heart to understanding, and cry out for discernment. I lift my voice for understanding. I seek her as silver and hunt for her as hidden treasure. Let these efforts bring understanding of the fear of the Lord and implant your knowledge in me (Prov. 2:1-11).
  10. Cause my heart to be a chamber of your wisdom, knowledge and understanding (WKU). Make it a storehouse, fountain, and conduit to bless others. Let WKU flow with intensity and make me to grow in them finding favour with God and man (Prov. 1:1-7; Luke 2:52).
  11. Lord, thank you for crowning me with your WKU. I put on the mind of Christ. I reject pride and vain glory. Henceforth, no foolishness and corruption by satan is allowed into my heart and mind. I reject every contentious spirit provoking me and causing me to accept provocation from others. I also reject every form of envy. Let my heart desire be to live and walk in the Spirit only (Gal. 5:25-36; Prov. 2:10-11).
  12. Lord, let the Excellency of your WKU be my portion. Let it bring untold blessings and promotion into my life. Let it bring good health, long life, and immeasurable prosperity without sorrow in all things. Give me great understanding of the diversity of your WKU with sound doctrine. I exalt your WKU in my heart and mind. I receive by faith the promotion and blessings as I diligently adapt your WKU (Prov. 3:13-18; 4:1-9).
  13. Lord, teach me Your unassailable WKU. Let me, as a father or mother, or spiritual father or spiritual mother, be able to teach and pass on your WKU to others, so the house of the Lord will be filled with people that are wise (Prov. 1:1-9; 2:1-11; 3:1-4; 4:1-7; 5:1-2; 7:1-4).
  14. Demonstrate the excellence of your Spirit in me. Let me be Christ-like in anointing, doing good and destroying the works of satan (1 Cor. 2:1-5; Acts 10:38; 11:20-21; Mk 1:21-45).
  15. Open my ears to hear your voice. Speak to me as deep speaks to deep. I shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of your house. Let your grace and ornament be on my head and chains of honour on my neck (Prov. 1: 8-9; Ps 42:7-11; 84:1-7; 92:10-15; 1 Cor. 2:9-16).
  16. Let the wisdom of the cross be my boasting. Grant me further revelation of your life, crucifixion, and resurrection. Fill my heart, soul, and mind with your wisdom. Immerse and baptise me in your WKU, so I reason like Christ always. (Prov. 8:1-24; 1 Cor. 2:1-16).
  17. Fill me with compassion, love, peace, joy, hope, and patience always (Gal. 5:22-23).
  18. Lord Jesus, you are the wisdom and power of God. You created all things by your word. We recognise and celebrate your awesomeness in our outreach to the world.
  19. Thank you for the authority and power we have in your name. Lord, make us channels of blessing of your amazing wisdom and power to others. Thank you for being to us wisdom, power, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. I glory in you Lord (Gen. 1:1-3, 26-31; Prov. 3:19-20; 8; 22-36; John 1:1-5; Heb. 1:1-4; 1 Cor. 1:18-30). Amen!!
  20. Worship God in the Spirit for fifteen to twenty minutes and journal what the Lord tells you!

CLOSE YOUR FASTING EACH DAY AND EACH WEEK WITH THE FOLLOWING CONFESSION:

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength, and my Redeemer.

Rev. 12:11, Amplified And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.

Jeremiah 1:10 See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to tear down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.

WEEK THREE         16/01/2025 – 22/01/2025

praise Worship                                  Text 1 Kings 3:1-28; Luke 2:40-52; Phil. 4:1-23.

John 15:1-11, “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the words which I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself but must remain in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me. I am the vine, you are the branch; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; remain in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”

STRONG CONNECTION TO THE VINE

  1. Oh Lord, I thank you for the shed blood of Jesus. Reveal yourself to me in Jesus’ name.
  2. Father, thank you for my salvation. Give me grace to witness and win souls for Christ.
  3. Oh Lord, fill my heart with wisdom. Wax and cement my spirit strong with your word.
  4. I reject every spirit of worldliness. I refuse to corrupt the wisdom of God in my heart.
  5. Oh Lord, grant me a heart to discern and keep away from evil in the name of Jesus.
  6. Oh Lord, give me a humble and teachable spirit. Engrave your words in my heart.
  7. Lord, as you appeared to Solomon in a dream, appear to me. Baptise me with your wisdom.
  8. Lord, help me to grow in wisdom and favour with God and people in greater measure.
  9. Let your wisdom show in me by the decisions I make that they are very thoughtful.
  10. Thank you, Lord for your favour and blessings. Distinguish me with your excellence.
  11. Oh Lord, show yourself mighty and strong in my life. Rejoicing shall abound in my life.
  12. Satisfy my hunger and thirst for your righteousness. Help me to hate all besetting sins with perfect hatred. I shall not be foolish but wise. Let your light shine brightly through me.
  13. Lord Jesus, fill my heart with your peace, joy, and righteousness. Let your holiness fill all fibre of my being and emit from me convicting others (Rom. 14:17; John 14:27; 16:33).
  14. I cast all my worries on Christ. Lord, fill my spirit with godliness, contentment, faith, love, patience, meekness, power, and soundness of mind (1 Tim. 6:6-11; 2 Tim. 1:7; 1 Pet. 5:7).
  15. Every power of the enemy troubling my peace, you are wasting your time. I overcome you with the marks of Christ. I am not ashamed of His marks. I wear them proudly (Gal. 6:17).
  16. Lord, thank you for your strength. I receive grace to do all things well (Phil. 4:13).
  17. Lord, make me a strong branch connected to you and the Father. I am full of sap (Ps 104:16)
  18. Lord, you said if I abide in you and your word abides in me, I shall ask anything, it will be done unto me. I abide in you by grace. I shall not depart from you nor walk in ungodliness. Evil ways are anathema to my soul. I cleave to you and behold your glory always.
  19. Lord, prune me. Make my tree always healthy. Cause my life to bear much fruit abundantly to your glory. I love you, Lord. Let my discipleship of you become better, deeper, and deeper.
  20. Make me fruitful in all good works. Fortify me to be productive in all I do (1 Cor. 15:58).
  21. Worship God in the Spirit for fifteen to twenty minutes and journal what the Lord tells you!

WEEK FOUR  23/01/2025 – 29/01/2025

Praise Worship                                  Text I Peter 5:1-14.

Matthew 16:13-20 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I the Son of man am?” And they said, some say you are John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, but who say ye that I am? Simon Peter answered and said, you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus said unto him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. WEEK FIVE 30/01/2025 – 05/02/2025

Praise Worship                                                                 Text Gen. 41:1-57; Ezek. 1:1-28; Rev. 1:1-20.

Isaiah 6:1-11 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphim: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, “Woe is me! I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell amid a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.” Then flew one of the seraphim unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, “Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.” Also, I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then said I, “Here am I; send me.” And he said, “Go, and tell this people, hear you indeed, but understand not; and see you indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert and be healed.” Then said I, “Lord, how long?” And He answered, “Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man and the land be utterly desolate.”

Praise Worship                      Text Joshua 14:1-15. Deuteronomy 1:1-46

1 Chronicles 4:38-43 These mentioned by name were leaders in their families, and their father’s house increased greatly. So, they went to the entrance of Gedor, as far as the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks. And they found rich, good pasture, and the land was broad, quiet, and peaceful; for some Hamites formerly lived there. These recorded by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and they attacked their tents and the Meunites who were found there, and destroyed them, as it is to this day. So, they dwelt in their place because there was pasture for their flocks there. Now some of them, five hundred men of the sons of Simeon, went to Mount Seir, having as their captains Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi. And they defeated the rest of the Amalekites who had escaped. They have dwelt there to this day.

HEALTH ARTICLE – 15: THE HEALING VALUE OF EXCERCISE (4)

Saturday, January 27, 2024 by Joseph Agbi Leave a Comment

The bottom line on exercise

Exercise and physical activity are a great way to feel better, gain health benefits and have fun. As a general goal, aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. If you want to lose weight or meet specific fitness goals, you may need to exercise more. Remember to check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you haven’t exercised for a long time, have chronic health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes or arthritis, or you have any concerns.

3.         Browse in a secular bookstore and pick up a good book on exercise. Examine it, so you get a feel for various exercises you could do in each of the three categories.

The three categories of exercises stated by Dr Mark are: aerobic, strength-building, and stretching

Some years back, I bought and added to my Home Library. The book is from Reader’s Digest, Get Fit, Feel Fantastic! Authored by Dr Michael Perring and Anne Hooper, the book narrates the complete health program for living your mature years to the fullest. Chapter 1, pages 14 to 40, is titled Fit for Life. Excerpts from the chapter, pictures left out, are as follows:

A. Exercise (page 14)

“Any exercise  above your normal level of activity will benefit your health in a very short time”….If you live a very inactive life, a brisk 20 minute walk at least 3 times a week (same recommendation from Dr Mark), will quickly make you feel more energetic, sharpen your mind and senses and give you that extra zest for life. You could add some other sporting activity.

  • It boost your energy level
  • It makes you feel great
  • It strengthens your body
  • It boosts your immune system by speeding up the blood and lymphatic circulation
  • Increased lung power increasing oxygen levels in the body
  • It improves the heart’s blood circulation and its ability to fight diseases

The authors write further:

“During exercise, your lung capacity increases five to seven times. Some of this increased capacity stays with you when you are not exercising, so you breathe deeper to produce more power for the muscle and fuel for the brain.”

“The cornerstone of the body’s defense system mechanism is the lymphatic system, which relies on physical activity to push lymph fluid around the body, along with the white blood cells and antibodies that fight infection.”

“Perhaps best of all, lovemaking will also improve with regular exercise. You will feel like having sex more often, it will last longer and you will enjoy it more. All these benefits will come to you within weeks of starting regular exercise, and should stay with you for as long as you continue.”

“A well-known research project called the Framingham Study investigated the link between exercise and heart disease. It concluded that sedentary people were over five times more likely to die from heart disease than those who fit even moderate levels of exercise into their weekly routine.”

B.        Daily wake-up and Warm-up exercises: 10 minutes routine (page 20)

            a.         Deep breathing (to oxygenate the brain and muscle)

            b.         Elbow lifts (to work the arms and upper body

            c.         Neck turn (to work the upper spine)

            d.         Torso twist (for abdominal muscle, distribute your weight evenly over both feet)

            e.         Hip swing (to work the hips and sides)

            f.          Side bends (to work the upper body)

            g.         Squats (to work legs and lower body)

            h.         Warm-up March (to warm muscles and mobilize joints)

C.        Building Stamina (page 22)

“A study carried out at Harvard University demonstrated that individuals who expend 1500 calories a week through stamina-building activities, such as long distance walking, running or cycling live the longest.”

The book shows:

  • a table for recovery pulse rate
    • Heart training zone chart

D.        Stamina building exercises are as follows (page 26):

a.         Leg and arm curls

b.         Sways

c.         Half-stars and star jumps, including bouncing on a mini trampoline

d.         Step-Ups

e.         Springing

E.         Building Muscular Strength and Endurance (PAGE 28)

“You may need to alter your diet if you want to improve your muscular strength. This is because it is the carbohydrate in your diet, such as bread, pasta, rice, cereals and fruit and vegetables, that fuel muscle development. If you are eating a balanced diet, you don’t need extra protein, and you most certainly would not need extra fats or sugar in your diet”.

“Regular resistance exercises can reduce and even reverse the steady decline in strength with age, no matter how old or unfit you are when you start”

“Water offers considerable resistance and swimming is an ideal form of strength exercise – as well as improved stamina”

“You should vary the types of muscle exercise you do so that all the muscles of the body are improved – or conditioned – evenly without concentrating on any particular muscle group”

F.         Popular resistance aids include (page 30):

  • Dumbbells
  • Barbell
  • Elastic training band
  • Ankle and wrist weight
  • Gym machines. We have a Treadmill, Stationary Resistance Bike, Recumbent Bike, Vibrating Machine.

“Running Wild: By running just 8km (5 miles a week), you can reduce your risk of heart disease – North America’s number one killer – by 20 percent. Running can also help you lose weight, strengthen muscle and bones and slow the aging process, Even your skin and hair will benefit, and you will feel great too.”

“Try new activity, such as rollerblading or rock ’n’ roll dancing, to exercise more muscles. Every time you use a muscle in a different way, you help your whole body remain healthy and strong.”

“TAKE CARE: When doing resistance exercise, don’t hold your breath or keep still for more than a few seconds, as this raises your blood pressure. Steadily breathe out when exerting maximum effort and breathe in as you relax the effort. If you have high blood pressure, see a doctor before starting resistance exercises.”

G.        Muscle-Toning Exercise (page 32)

            a.         Wall push-up (to tone arms and upper body)

            b.         Box Push-up (to tone arms and upper body)

            c.         Heel raises (to tone calves)

            d.         Lower back raises (to tone lower back)

            e.         Leg toner (to tone inner ties)

            f)         Easy squats (to tone thighs and buttocks)

H.        Building Flexibility (page 34)

“Maintaining your flexibility means you can enjoy life to the fullest without worrying about muscle aches or injuries.”

“By doing simple stretching exercises during the day you can improve posture and joint mobility, reduce muscular tension and avoid muscle pain.”

I.          Stretching exercises (page 36)

            a.         Front of thighs (for the upper legs)

            b.         Back stretch (for the lower spine)

            c.         Back of ties (for the upper leg)

            d.         Neck Stretch (for the neck and shoulders)

            e.         Front of chest (for the chest and shoulders)

            i.          Inner thigh stretch (for the upper legs)

J.          7 Ways to Stay Fit (page 38)

            1.         Visit a fitness Instructor (my wife and I did for 3 months years back with clear fitness goals)

            2.         Join a gym or Fitness centre (I carry a monthly pass with Terwillegar Recreation Centre)

            3.         Exercise in water (I rarely swim)

            4.         Pop in a video (I have one good video, would shop for others)

            5.         Start a walking Club (I do my 5 mile walk Saturday-fortnightly morning walk in summer)

            6.         Take up an outdoor sport

            7.         Dance the night away (we should dance more unto the Lord during worship)

POSTED SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 2024 by BISHOP DR JOSEPH AGBI

SERMON: RESEMBLING CHRIST

NAOG Page 408

Read Ephesians 4:1-32

Ephesians 4:11-13 He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

 a. Believers were first called Christians at Antioch (Acts 11:19-26)

b.  You need to be fully persuaded and sold to Him (Phil 3:10-12)

c. You start with the basics but be ready to grow exponentially to perfection (Rom. 10:8-10; Heb. 6:1-6)

Seated with Christ in heavenly places. Col. 3:12 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

a) I should always remember that I have been raised with Christ.

b) I should remember His death and resurrection as well as the process of my baptism.

c) I need to keep seeking the things which are above.

d)  I should remember that Christ is above and is seated at the right hand of God.

e) I should remember that one day he will return with great glory and take me home to be with Him forever.

Knowing Christ is your Greatest Gain

Read Phil. 3:7-8.

a) The cross is not an offence to me but a gain.

b) Old things are passed away and all things are become new.

c) I am willing to sacrifice all things so I can win Christ.

d) The surpassing value of knowing Christ cannot be exchanged for anything.

e) I am willing to suffer the loss of all things and count them but rubbish so I may gain Christ.

Read 1 Thess. 1:9-10.

a) I need to turn from to God from idols of the heart to serve the true and living God.

b) I need to expectantly wait for Jesus from heaven.

c) I need to remember the resurrection of Jesus from heaven. d) need to remember that because He is alive and has saved us, rescuing us from the wrath of God to come.

Read 2 Tim. 2:3-4.

a) I am enlisted in the end-time army of God.

b) I should be willing to suffer hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

c) I should not entangle myself with the affairs of this life.

d) I am a good soldier of Christ in active service and will ever remain so.

e) I will please God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit who enlisted me to be His soldier.

How much do we resemble Christ?

Read 2 Cor. 4:11, 16-18.

We resemble Christ in many ways:

a) We suffered persecution of mortal proportion, and we should be ready to do likewise for Him.

b) Since Christ triumphed over persecution, we too will be victorious and triumph in His name.

c) We do not lose heart no matter the persecution we face, we should ask for the grace of God and be ready to bear it.

d) Our outward man is decaying but our inward man is renewed day by day.

e) Our afflictions are light compared to what Christ suffered.

f) Our light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond comparison.

g) We should refocus our eyes and vision from the things which are seen to the things which are not seen, that is things of eternal value.

Heb. 11:25-27 (Moses) chose rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen.

a) Moses chose to endue ill-treatment with God’s people rather than enjoy the pleasures of sin.

b) He considered the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt.

c) Moses looked forward to the reward for the reproaches he suffered for Christ.

d) By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king. He actually left so he could come back and fight another day (Exod. 2:10-15; the Bible calls it an act of faith). e) Moses endured, seeing Him who is unseen as permitting what was going on in His life.

PRAYER POINTS

WEEK 5  JAN 28 – FEB 03        Praise Worship         Text1 Kings 3:1-28; Luke 2:40-52; Phil.

Rejoicing shall abound in my life always.
I am full of sap (Ps 104:16; Jn 15:1)

WEEK 4  JAN 20 – JAN 27                  Praise Worship                 Text I Peter 5:1-14.

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Then charged He His disciples that they should tell no man that He was Jesus the Christ.”

NATURE AND CHARACTER OF CHRIST

  1. Oh Lord, make me a worthy example of a believer. Strengthen my faith with your words.
  2. Oh Lord, fill my heart with humility. I focus keenly on the cross, not the world.
  3. Let your beauty be manifest in me. I cloth myself with the nature and character of Christ.
  4. Lord, I cast all my cares upon you. I bind every spirit of fear in the name of Jesus.
  5. Oh Lord, make my faith solid as I stand on the Rock of Ages in the mighty name of Jesus.
  6. Satan, I resist you. You have no place in my life and my home. My future is guaranteed.
  7. Oh Lord, reveal yourself to us. Open our eyes to behold the crown of glory you are preparing for us in heaven. Fill or hearts with your presence always (1 Perter 5:4).
  8. You said the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church. Strengthen us against satan!
  9. Father Lord, grant me great revelation of who you are and about Jesus Christ, your Son.
  10. Lord, you gave us the Keys of your Kingdom. We have authority to bind things on earth and they would be bound in heaven. We bind the spirit of fear, failure, frustration, underachievement, and hopelessness. We invade the gates of hell and prevail.
  11. Lord, we have your authority to release things on earth and they would be released in heaven. Fill us with more grace, and the nature of Christ so we live a more fulfilled life on earth.
  12. Lord, you are the embodiment of wisdom and grace. Fill us with these virtues.
  13. I emulate all the character of Christ (…… name them one by one). Bake them in me.
  14. Chose three of the character of Christ and prayer them over the next three months.
  15. Give glory to God and pray in the Spirit for fifteen to twenty minutes. Do your journaling!
