Guaranteed Unending Returns

Bible Nugget 0308 [Luke 18 V 28 – 30, KJV]

28Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.

29And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,

30Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

God is a giver; he does not owe any man or woman. He gave his very best, His only begotten Son.  The desire of God is for us to give back to him. First of ourselves and then our substance. Returns in the investment of anything good into the kingdom of God are very rewarding. Investments are guaranteed because God’s storehouses are inexhaustible. Psalm 50: 9-12 reads:

9I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

10For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

11I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

12If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

From v12, it is clear that that, the world is an entire estate owned by God. So the challenge thrown to Peter and to every person by Jesus is; if you invest in God’s estate of reconciling the lost world back to God, you get manifold returns. It is a totally risk-free investment, with only one requirement; faith.

Peter’s question in v28 was a result of the discuss Jesus ha with a rich, young ruler. The story is told in Luke 18:18-24 but lets look at the same record in Mark 10: 17

17And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

18And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

19Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

20And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

21Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

22And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

v21 says Jesus loved this man. He saw the great potential the man had. He looked at him and saw in him a Matthew, who wrote the first book in the New Testament. Matthew was also very rich, but had acquired his wealth by illegal tax collection. Matthew left all to follow Jesus. The constraint the young rich ruler had was the inability to part with his possessions. The rich young ruler was unaware that both himself and possessions belong to God (psalm 50 v12).  Today, we have many philanthropic persons and organizations promoting one good course or the other. My prayer is that God will continue to bless them in Jesus Name.

The returns in the life hereafter is even more rewarding: Eternal life. The perks include living forever, having eaten of the tree of life (Rev 22: 1-5); seeing God face to face (which no person can do now because of the nature of sin); a mansion in heaven (John 14:1-3); seating with Christ in the heaven lies and ruling over principalities and powers and over all those who died in their sins (all who will be in hell); and living in absolute bliss. No more sin, no more sorrow. The whole world would then be reconciled to God after the creation of a new heaven and a new earth during the millennial reign of Christ and the Saints. A wolf will lie down side by side with a lamb (Isaiah 65:17-25). Would you not prefer this unquantifiable returns?

Prayer Nugget 0308

1.        Pray a prayer of consecration. “Lord, I give my self to you. I consecrate my heart, soul body, mind and intellect to you. Let me be a faithful servant who is only interested in his master’s business in Jesus name. You first Jesus. I will not abandon my responsibility to my family in Jesus Name. Lord give me the wisdom to discern, please you and engage in the work of your kingdom at all times in Jesus Name.”

2.        Lord fill my heart with the glories of heaven. I become more and more heavenly minded in Jesus Name.

3.        Lord let my dreams be dreams of your kingdom. Let me have open visions of heaven in Jesus  name.

4.     Lord help me to be fisher of men. Use me as a vessel to lead others to Christ and promote the work of the gospel. Let me be  a channel of blessing to people; the rich and the poor, the saint and the sinner and use me to reconcile the world back to you, Almighty God in Jesus Name. Amen.

BRANDED BY CHRIST

Bible Nugget 0305 [GAL 6: 17, KJV]

17From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

Being an ardent believer in Christ is not showmanship. It is a separation from darkness to light, from weak to strong, from defeat to victory, from mourning to dancing, from sadness to joy and from disgrace to favour.  The gifts and calling of God is without repentance, that is, God will not abandon someone who is walking in the light, doing the will of God and working in His vineyard. The person serving the Lord fervently is not perturbed by the persecution he receives because he has more important things on his mind: to know what the Lord wants to do next.

The mark of Christ is a mark of ownership by Christ. We all know slave trade was evil (except those still living in the dark ages), but lets compare it to what happens in a typical slave market. It means the person is sold out. He is already branded by his master, so anyone trying to offer a higher price is wasting his or her time. Paul is telling us in the above verse that he is branded for Christ. I am branded for Christ. What about you? The amplified version describes the verse vividly as follows:

Gal:617 (Amplified)

17From now on let no person trouble me [by [l]making it necessary for me to vindicate my apostolic authority and the divine truth of my Gospel], for I bear on my body the [brand] marks of the Lord Jesus [the wounds, scars, and other outward evidence of persecutions–these testify to His ownership of me]!

Spiritually, one can only have one master at a time. God can be your Father of the devil can be your master.

Eph 2: 1-2 reads:

1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

So the question at this time is who do you want to be your master? Make Jesus the Lord and Master of your life and you become branded for Christ.

Prayer Nugget 0305

Decree the following prayers upon your self:

  1. I am branded for Christ I have been delivered from darkness to light. Let the glorious light of the gospel shine perpetually upon me in Jesus Name.
  2. Oh Lord, preserve my soul and my life from every spiritual and physical danger as I proclaim your word in Jesus Name.
  3. Oh Lord I release myself unto you. You are the potter and I am the clay. Meld me, make me and use me to do your will in Jesus Name.
  4. Every troubler’s of my Israel (or my peace) receive the stones of Fire in Jesus Name.

      5.   Oh Lord, let your seal of ownership by the blood of Jesus become more and more vivid in my life in Jesus Name.

The King’s Faithful Ambassador

Bible Nugget 0226 [2 Corinthians 5: 20-21, Amplified]
20So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.

21For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

A faithful ambassador of a country represents the interest of his Country in another domain governed by a ruler other than the ruler of his country. It will be inimical if instead of representing the interest of his country, he begins to represent solely the interest of the country he was sent to. At times he might be just a messenger if the interest of his country is not to the overall good of both countries. In which case he has to state the facts as they are back to his home country.

In the above passage, it is clear God is appealing to Christian as ambassadors of Christ, [who represent the interest of Christ on earth after his ascension] to take full advantage of  his favor in reaching out to the world. It is like the president telling his ambassadors, “take full advantage of the resources of this country in reaching out to the place where you are sent to. The country is behind you. Faithfully represent the interest of this country. I have given you the best this country can offer”. Jesus is the best God offered to the world. The world without Jesus would be a dark and cruel place. It is already cruel enough, but it would have been much darker. The Christians are the flash of lights dotting the world, if one were to look from space into the world with spiritual telescope. Jesus is the light of the world and we are beaming the reflection of Jesus back to the world.

Two complementary passages of the duties of a spiritual ambassador are:

Prov 13:17 KJV

17A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.

Isiaah 33: 6-8 [amplified]

6And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

7Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.

8The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man.

A faithful ambassador brings health (healing) between two countries. Some ambassadors are so skillful that they get sent over and over again to different countries to restore relationships between home country and host country. In which case he could be called: ambassador-extra ordinary. Are you fully representing the interest of Christ here on earth? Ask God to empower you more.

Prayer Nugget 0226

Father Lord, thank you for making me to be your representative here on earth.  Thank you for sending Jesus to lay his life down for me so I can live his life here on earth. Empower me to be more faithful in my duties as a Christian.  Let my light continue to shine to the world. I take full advantage of your favour.  Thank you for sending your Son to pay the price for my sins. Let my life reflect your glory in Jesus Name. Help me to be an ambassador of health and peace in Jesus Name. Amen

I am Triumphant and have the Sweet Savour Of Christ

Bible Nugget 0225 [2 Corinthians 2:14-17]

14Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

15For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

16To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

17For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

This was the first Bible Nugget, the Holy Spirit ministered to me when I began to lay the groundwork for the bible and prayer nugget, an arm of the Christ our Wisdom and Power Missions. I meditate on this scripture from time to time;  and it always make me exude great confidence that I am triumphant always in Christ, as long as I am in right standing with God. Jesus sweetens lives and as a disciple of Jesus, a Christian’s life should radiate the glory and power that Jesus radiates on us. When Jesus was on earth, he healed the sick, raised the dead, healed the broken hearted, comforted those who were mourning and gave liberty to those who were in bondage. How sweet-smelling his life was?

Acts 10:38, Amplified bible reads

38How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, [f]in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.

Jesus has deposited his powers in my life and every believer’s life to sweeten the lives of others and radiate his power by the Power of the Holy Spirit. On earth, Jesus said we to his disciples, he will send the Holy Spirit and “each one of you will do greater works because I go back to my Father in heaven” [John 14:12, paraphrased]. This was literarily fulfilled in the life of Peter (his shadow healed the sick, Acts 5:15) and Paul (anointed handkerchief’s from him healed people, Acts 19:11-12) after the day of Pentecost. The power of the Holy Spirit transformed their lives, becoming clean vessels in the hand of God. A person’s life is like salt. It can sweeten or destroy.  My prayer is that the beauty of Jesus be seen in your life and that you radiate the power of God in Jesus Name. Amen.

Prayer Nugget 0225

Lord I thank you for making me to be victorious in Christ. Thank you for the victories I have had in spiritual battles. Oh Lord, let my life continue to be a sweet fragrance, imparting the lives of others with the power of your Holy Spirit. Lord, I consecrate ,my life unto you. Make me, meld me, heal me, use me to the glory of your kingdom. No part of my life shall be wasted anymore. I will live for Jesus day after day. Anoint me with your spirit and power to do the works that you did and the greater works you promised that your disciples would do. Let my life minister grace to others in Jesus Name. Amen.

Life in Heaven

Bible Nugget 0224 [Rev 22 1-5 KJV]
1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Heaven is a glory land full of completed mansions and mansions undergoing construction, home of believers in Christ.  Jesus himself is the Architect of every mansion and the Angels are the construction workers. It is the biggest construction project, ongoing since Jesus ascended to heaven until his second coming for his saints.  John 14-1-3

1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

The natural mind cannot contemplate the beauty of heaven except it is revealed to your  spirit, by the Holy Spirit. The tree of life, renewing the health of the believer so we can live forever, are planted along the river bank. The Holy Spirit is the source of the fountain of the river of life issuing from the throne of God and the Lamb of God, Jesus. The believer on earth has a foretaste of that water because Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit and the word of God says, once baptized, out of your innermost being shall flow rivers of Living water.  Nothing defiling can stay in heaven because God’s eyes cannot behold iniquity. Neither can any curse hold there because everyone is blessed in the presence of God. The light of God is the sun and it will shine perpetually throughout eternity. Which do you prefer? Heaven or Hell fire? Ask Jesus to come into your life and he will reserve a mansion for you in his heavenly kingdom.

Prayer Nugget 0224

Lord  let my eyes see visions of your heavenly kingdom. Fill my heart with the glories of your kingdom and help me to keep my garments spotless as I work for your kingdom and eagerly await the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Let me have a foretaste of eternal life here on earth by the power of you Holy Spirit. Let your rivers of living water flow abundantly out of my belly in Jesus Name. All hindrances on my way to reaching heaven, I command disarray on them in Jesus Name. Fill me with the peace I require here on earth to keep my heart from any troubles in Jesus Name. I look forward to the day Jesus will usher me into his kingdom and lead me to the mansion he has prepared for me in heaven in Jesus name. Amen.

Arise & Shine Your Light into a Dark World

 Bible Nugget 0221 [Isaiah 60 v 1 – 3 KJV]

1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

2For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

3And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Light is superior and master to darkness. When light appears on a scene darkness gives way. The Bible says, God is light and in him there is no darkness at all and that God covers himself with light as a garment. The more we stay in the presence of God, the more the light of God reflects on us. Moses stayed in the presence of God for forty days and forty nights and when he came down from the mountain, the children of Israel could not look at the face of Moses because his face shone with a powerful reflection of God’s glory. The desire of God is that his children beam his glory to the world because gross darkness covers the world without them as they carry the image of Christ. There is collective darkness and individual darkness. Collective darkness covers a nation, a group of people or tribe, a clan and families. The devil is the prince of darkness and he has veiled the hearts of men so that they should not understand the glorious gospel of Jesus. Individual darkness is the intensity of darkness spiritually in a person’s life. Jesus wants to beam his light into such a soul because he says “I am the light of the world” and anyone who does not know Jesus is walking in darkness. A Christian should not allow an iota of darkness into his life, nor allow darkness to propagate in the lives of others around him. Today the question God is asking is you is,  if you have allowed your heart to become room to darkness, how great is that darkness. Let the glorious light of Jesus shine into every area of your life today, and your life will attract others to Christ as you live your life under God’s presence. God will attract all men and women, both small and great to himself through your light. If your light is already shining, shine even brighter. Do not hide your light or allow the enemy to veil it from shining.

Prayer Nugget 0221
Pray the following prayers with all intensity (each prayer with your eyes closed if it is safe).

1.       Oh LORD let your light shine brighter and brighter in my life unto the perfect day of the second coming of our LORD Jesus Christ in Jesus Name.

2.       I arise out of every form of darkness. You darkness, I am light because I reflect the glory of God in Jesus Name.

3.       I refuse to cooperate or harbour any form of evil in my life in Jesus Name.

4.       Oh Lord, deliver my soul. Transform me completely into your kingdom in Jesus Name.

5.       Oh Lord deliver this nation and every nation from the darkness envelope of the enemy. Break every barrier hindering the gospel and the word of God spreading to every nation and tribe in Jesus Name.

6.       Oh Lord let your light in my life shine with full intensity and attract others into your kingdom in Jesus Name.

7.     Boldly repeat many times and see the light of God flood your soul: I dwell in the light; my heart is full of light; my family and loved ones are full of light; my house, my car or anywhere I am at any moment is full of light. Darkness vanish from my life and around me in Jesus Name. Amen.
