THE CHOICE IS YOURS

Psalm 5:12

12For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield

God has made man a free moral agent. He wants us to be able to make our choices. God does not impose anything on His creature. One thing I have observed about my God is that He tries to make the choice easy by allowing you to know the outcome of your choice, even before you choose.

For example, Exodus 20, verse 12 says “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee”. It is your choice to do whatever you like, but the end result of your choice is not hidden from you. If you choose to obey your parents, you have the blessing of long life. INTRODUCTION

 There are 2 types of conscience in your body. Those are the good and bad conscience. The good conscience listens to God and the bad one listens to the devil. Imagine you are falling off a building. Something is holding you back and that is your good conscience. At the same time something is pushing you forward. That is your bad conscience. It is left there for you, but which one will you choose? It is a tough choice. Let this study give you some tips in Jesus’ name. Amen.

There are many things we usually take for granted. One of them is the ability to sleep and wake up. The Psalmist has made us to understand that it is not by any effort of ours that we go to bed and we are up the next morning. It is by the mercies of the Almighty God. Having a place to rest our heads is one thing, then, falling asleep is another. There are some people who do not have homes or houses they go to at the end of the day. God desires our souls prosper. Prosperity is not a once-for-all step into wealth be they material, financial or otherwise. True prosperity is steady progress in the spirit. Your soul is the covering for your spirit. Your soul is the first contact point by the spirit world. Celestial (angels) or terrestrial spirits (powers of darkness and demons) do not directly relate with your body as they are not physical beings, just like we relate with other humans on the surface, what we can see-our senses.

The more time you spend with someone, the better assessment one has about that person. First impression is not always the right one. Most people try hard to give a good and lasting impression the first time because human beings are not usually very patient to study one before they criticize. You could imagine someone going for a job interview, getting well dressed and just a few feet away from the venue, he is splashed with muddy water. Time is of essence. If he decides to go home and change his clothing, he might be late. On the other hand, if he decides to appear before the panel, looking untidy as a result of the incident, he will not give a good impression. Strength and Courage [IV]

5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.  6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.  7Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. There is another form of inner strength we get as we diligently serve the LORD. It is called courage. Strength and courage are essential ingredients to make it in life. The two must be present and complement each other in an individual. If you are strong without much courage, you will see an opponent who may challenge and defeat you because of his courage.
