Knowing God Profits: By Esther Agbi

Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known my name. Psalm 91:14 [KJV]

The more time you spend with someone, the better assessment one has about that person. First impression is not always the right one. Most people try hard to give a good and lasting impression the first time because human beings are not usually very patient to study one before they criticize. You could imagine someone going for a job interview, getting well dressed and just a few feet away from the venue, he is splashed with muddy water. Time is of essence. If he decides to go home and change his clothing, he might be late. On the other hand, if he decides to appear before the panel, looking untidy as a result of the incident, he will not give a good impression. He may not be an untidy person, but an unfortunate situation has made him to present himself in that manner. [Read more…] about Wisdom Fountain 04/11/2010

Strength and Courage [IV]

5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.  6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.  7Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. [Joshua 1:5-7]

There is another form of inner strength we get as we diligently serve the LORD. It is called courage. Strength and courage are essential ingredients to make it in life. The two must be present and complement each other in an individual. If you are strong without much courage, you will see an opponent who may challenge and defeat you because of his courage. BIBLE NUGGETS 0228/2010 [Jude v3 KJV]

CONFLICT [ III ]

Jude v 3 KJV

3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Faith in Jesus is the common salvation available to all men. If you have received him, you are on his side. The side of Jesus is the winning team. However there is a contending team in conflict with the team of Jesus. The head of that team is Satan and his team is the losing side. As a saint of God, defend the goalpost of Jesus. Angels, the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, the word of God provide fortification for the goalpost so the enemy remains always defeated. This is not the case of the better team wins. Jesus is the winner because it was settled on the cross of Calvary for you and me. So contend for the faith and God will give you the divine strength to play your path in the team of Jesus. The gates of hell cannot prevail against the church. Praise God.

Colossians 2:14-15 KJV

14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

WARFARE PRAYER

1.       I prevail over every principality and power raging against me in the name of Jesus. I take all the enemy’s territory for Jesus in Jesus Name.

 2.      I conquer the enemy.  I command every foothold of the enemy on my life and the life of my loved ones to be amputated in Jesus Name. Amen.

BIBLE NUGGETS 0221/2010

BIBLE NUGGETS 0221/2010 [Ephesians 6:12 KJV]

CONFLICT [ II ]

Ephesians 6:12 KJV   12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:12, Amplified Version 12For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.

The forces we contend with are not earthly beings. All plans and wickedness and planned in heavenly places and hatched on earth in the lives of men who permit them. Thank God we have strong spiritual weapons; the word of God, the name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus to dismantle and scatter such plans. Even after giving your life to Christ, you have to expel these powers from your life by seeking total deliverance from every stubborn occupant or illegal squatters in your life. You do not overcome demonic forces by word of mouth or boastings but by wrestling them down to submission in prayer. Engage the blood weapon or other devices to achieve this. The only prayer commands the enemy cannot resist are if you offer the prayer as follows: “….. in the name of Jesus”, and “……by the blood of Jesus”.

2 Corinthians 10:4 KJV (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

WARFARE PRAYER

1.       I dethrone every power sitting on my blessings. Let the angels of God chase them and give them no rest until they surrender in Jesus Name.

 2.      Let the blood of Jesus begin to torment my enemies. Fall down and die in the mighty Name of Jesus.

BIBLE NUGGETS 0214/2010 [COLOSSIANS 2:1 KJV]

CONFLICT [ I ]

Colossians 2:1 KJV

1For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

Colossians 2:1 , Amplified Version

1FOR I want you to know how great is my solicitude for you [how severe an inward struggle I am engaged in for you] and for those [believers] at Laodicea, and for all who [like yourselves] have never seen my face and known me personally.

The Apostle Paul was in constant struggle in prayer for the Saints at Colossae and Laodicea. He wanted the good of the brethren and he was ready to suffer the consequences for his faith. Conflict in Greek is “agon” and it implies a contest or an effort or anxiety or contention. You have something to struggle for; to wrest from the enemy all your stolen goods and properties whoever the enemy may be, whatever face they carry and no matter their tactics.  You will surely laugh last. So, keep at it and God will give you the victory in Jesus Name.

WARFARE PRAYER

1.       Oh Lord, grant me the inner strength to keep going even in the midst of great opposition mustered from the pit of hell in the name of Jesus.

 2.      Every power opposing my faith and the welfare of the brethren, receive the stones of fire in Jesus Name.

LIVING IN HIS PRESENCE 24/7

BIBLE NUGGETS 0131/2010 [Gen 5:21-24, Heb 11:5 KJV]

We can walk closer with God no matter our present spiritual level or past experiences. We do this by regular prayer, meditation and study of the word of God. Enoch was an example of a man who was in constant fellowship with God. He enjoyed being in his presence [Gen 5:21-24, Heb 11:5].  He lived for 365 years when life spans were nearly a millennium  [900 years+], but God so much enjoyed fellowship with him that God took him [Enoch did not experience physical death]. His life was comparatively brief on earth but relevant. It is on bible record that his son, Methuselah is the oldest man that ever lived only dying in the decade of Noah’s flood by bible chronology. Enoch’s walk in divine footsteps was a heroic spiritual experience when it was “old-fashioned” and sin pervaded the land in those days. He is mentioned in New Testament scriptures in the “Hall of Faith” of men who lived outstanding lives and pleased God. Let’s walk closer with God as Enoch did and God will reveal more of himself to us.

Gen 5: 21-24        21And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:    22And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:  23And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:  24And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Prayer of Faith

Oh Lord I long for more of you. Fill my in the inside with thoughts of godliness every moment and let my life radiate your glory and power. Satisfy the yearning of my soul for your righteousness and make me relevant spiritually to the world around me in Jesus Name. Amen.
